Tell me what you really think.

Yesterday's post had some strong opinions!  Now everyone is a madras lover, but madras paired with Ikea curtains from my garage, apparently not so much.  I like them just fine, but for kicks and giggles, take this anonymous poll about my curtains! (It is anonymous, no one will ever know that it is you who hates my curtains.)

As a reminder, here is the room again:

Your honest opinion about those Ikea Stockholm Blad curtains paired with the madras quilts?

  1. OK, I'm not a fan. But: I think it could maybe work, but the whole rest of the room would have to carry it. It would be some kind of really artsy, edgy look that I could never in a million years pull off and don't know how to do. So. I think it's in the realm of someone's possible. Maybe yours. But I sure can't help you get there! And, as always, I love your bold instincts.

  2. You know, yesterday I saw this and thought "too busy", but now I'm looking and thinking it could work. It seems like maybe it's just missing something, but I have no idea what that would be. What does the other side of the room look like? Maybe overall it does work and something about this shot just seems off balance.

  3. I actually like madras a lot. I like they way it can go rustic, or cottage, or preppy glam, depending on the accessories. But holy wow, I really really don't like the curtains here! (And I do like the curtain in other places...not here.) So there's my non-anonymous vote for "bleeding eyeballs." ;)

  4. love the madras. the curtains, especially with the bedspreads, not so much. i would prefer to see a plain curtain (linen coloured?), with maybe a stripe or two (vertical or at the bottom) of, say, red and blue (or other colours). Something more plain, to let the bedspreads really shine. but i LOVE the bedspreads.

  5. I voted "fabulous" but I'm truthfully halfway between fabulous and neither liking or disliking. It's definitely more appealing to me than it is offensive. I like the colors.

  6. Love the madras, love the curtains, but not together. Maybe it's the lighting? Pretty sure I see the same green in each design.
