what would you spend on a pillow?

I have been coveting this Anthropologie pillow.  I think it is textural and different and fresh and I love it.  It would look awesome in my living room.

Its also $198, which I find to be many multiples more money than I wish to spend on a pillow, ever, even if I win the lottery.  But if I did win the lottery, I think I draw the line at about $80 for one single pillow.  Which would allow me to get this other Anthro pillow:

Would you spend $198 on a pillow?  Ever?

  1. No. That is way too much money. I would spend like $20 on a pillow. Maybe $30 if I were making it myself. They're really easy to make.

  2. No. Never. It feels obscene and wrong. I couldn't enjoy it if I spent that much money on it, knowing what that amount of money would mean to so many other people. (I know, I sound way moralistic and self-righteous. You hit a nerve and there are already a bunch of things on mine today.)

  3. $20 max! I'll just spend my cocktails on them.

  4. that is an awful lot of money for a pillow. But if i loved it and dreamt of it ( which I have with other things around my house ) then I say wait for it to go on sale and then grab it quick . It will make you smile every time you look at it when you walk in the room and it will make you even happier because you will have something you love and a bargain. I really like the second pillow but always worry about the tassles coming off.
